Personal branding for specialists, without the theatrics

Personal branding for specialists, without the theatrics

Authority is built by being consistently useful in public — not by posting more. Here is the minimum viable presence for a consultant.

A specialist does not need a following. A specialist needs to be recognisable to the few thousand people who might search for their condition in their city this year, and credible to the colleagues who refer.

That takes four assets: a clean profile page with credentials and chamber hours, one photograph set that does not look like a passport scan, a short answer to the ten questions every patient asks before booking, and a monthly appearance in a format you can sustain.

Sustainability decides everything. A consultant who records six two-minute answers in one sitting each month will outperform the doctor who promises daily posts and stops in week three.
